Campaigns of the Future: Harnessing Technology to Activate People

August 31, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

An extremely engaging panel on SF’s two favorite topics: Tech and Politics!
Mix and mingle with political aficionados, forward-thinking tech innovators, and grassroots organizers as we discuss the intersection of technology and politics.
At the root of all social and political movements is the organization of people. While door to door canvassing has generally been regarded as the heart of most political campaigns, the impact of technology and social media has supplemented these actions by providing more efficient ways to reach people locally, statewide, and across the nation. As more and more tech startups enter the political space, engineers are looking for solutions to improve both the quality and the quantity of community involvement and impact.
This panel will examine how politicians, voters, and grassroots organizers alike can use technology to engage with their communities at large, and provide information on how the public can effectively utilize these new technologies to become more involved.
